      Matilda Marie Liles, 74 of Rogersville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2000 at 3:30 PM. in' the home of her daughter in Springfield. Matilda was born on April 19, 1926 in Douglas County Mo. to John and Ida Hale Lakey. She was a member of the Believers Full Gospel Church in Springfield. She was married to Jim Liles on May 1, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 27,1981. Surviving is her mother, Ida Munn, of Kennewick, WA.; step grandmother, Leona Hale of Springfield; two sons, Jimmy Liles and wife Dale of Rogersville, and Donnie Liles of Rogersville; four daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Daniel Horr of Springfield, Naoma and Carl Adams of Rogersville, Linda and Lynn McCleary of Fair Grove, and Kathy and Paul Mitchell of Nixa; two half-brothers, Oden Sanders and wife Alene and Clifton Sanders and wife Betty, all of Washington; sister-in-law, Elsie Lakey of Oregon; three sisters, Darlene Bender, Donna Walker and husband Gary, and Louella Page and husband Jim all of Washington, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Matilda was also proceeded in death by three sons; Lester, Lonnie and Earl Liles, a brother, Raymond Lakey, and a sister, Helen Sherbert. Services were held on Wednesday, November 1, 2000 in the Preston-Marsh Funeral Home in Rogersville. Burial followed in the Galloway Cemetery in Springfield.
