      Deceased Name: MICHAEL CULLIGAN, BUFFALO INSURANCE AGENT
      Michael E. Culligan, 73, a Buffalo insurance agent and father of 10, died Sunday (Aug. 15, 1993) in his South Buffalo home after a long illness.
      Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of South Park High School and Canisius College.
      He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II and
      received two Purple Hearts after being wounded during the invasion of Normandy.
      An agent for 32 years with Prudential Insurance Co. at its downtown Buffalo and South Buffalo offices, he was a perennial member of the company's Million Dollar Round Table, which recognizes outstanding sales. He retired in 1985.
      He was a member of Cazenovia Post 721, American Legion; the U.S. Navy Reserve; Disabled American Veterans; the Canisius College Alumni Association; and the Knights of Columbus.
      He and his wife, the former Marie Hoar, were married in 1945.
      In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Michael J. of West Seneca and Paul and James, both of Orchard Park; seven daughters, Mary Ann Minger of Encinitas, Calif., Theresa Anderson and Mary, both of Hamburg;, Kathleen Maloney of West Seneca, Colleen of San Diego, Calif., Laurie Domzalski of Kenmore and Jean Egan; two brothers, Joseph Basil of Amherst and Charles Basil; three sisters, Marie Rooth of Hamburg, Rita Hughes of Williamsville and Dolores Casey of West Seneca; and 19 grandchildren.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1140 Abbott Road, after prayers at 9 in Thomas H. McCarthy Funeral Home, 1975 Seneca St.
