  [[ Her brother's obituary: William R. LaPrad, 83, of Houghton Lake Heights passed away on Monday April 14, 2008 at Grayling Mercy Hospital.William was born on May 15, 1924 in Monroe to the late William C. and Hazel(DeLisle) LaPrad. He had served in the Army Air Corp during WW II and had spent his working years as a heating and Cooling sales manager. William was married on June 19, 1948 in Detroit to Josephine "Mickey" Peugh, whom survives. The couple moved to the Houghton Lake area from Canton in 1998. William was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Houghton Lake American Legion and Knights of Columbus Council #6548.Surviving Mr. William R. LaPrad are his loving wife of 59 years, Mickey LaPrad of Houghton Lake Heights; Son, William R. LaPrad, Jr. of Houghton Lake; Granddaughter, Leslie Girardin of Houghton Lake; three great granddaughters; one brother, Bob(Julie) LaPrad of Lansing; four sisters, Paula Green of Brighton, Ann DiDonato of Ann Arbor, Catherine(Allen) Hoard of Pickney, and Patricia(Bob) Beck of Florida. William was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.Funeral services for Mr. LaPrad will be conducted 10:00AM Thursday April 17, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Chaplain Jim Seiler officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Twp. Cemetery. The family will be at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel to receive friends on Wednesday April 16, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
