      Deceased Name: Michael J. Spendolini Sr.
      Michael J. Spendolini Sr., 91, of Marstons Mills, Mass., died Nov. 11 at the Cape Cod Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Florine (Salce) for 65 years. Born Oct. 12, 1916, in New Britain, Conn., he leaves a son, Michael J. Spendolini Jr. of California, a daughter, Patricia Hoar, and her husband, Michael J., of Mashpee, Mass.; a granddaughter, Kimberly Caprio, M.D., and her husband, Angelo Caprio, M.D.; and a great-grandson, Mason Michael Caprio.
      A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Wianno Avenue, Osterville, Mass., on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, (Route 28), Marstons Mills, Mass., on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Mosswood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Our Lady of Assumption Church, Wianno Avenue, Osterville, MA 02655.

      MARSTONS MILLS - Michael J. Spendolini Sr., 91, died Nov. 11, 2007, at Cape Cod Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Florine (Salce) of 65 years.
      He was born Oct. 12, 1916, in New Britain, Conn., and attended local schools. Michael was a World War II Navy veteran.
      He began a career as a firefighter in 1942, as a substitute and was appointed as a regular firefighter in 1946; lieutenant in 1952; captain in 1961; and deputy chief in charge of training in 1967. Michael retired as assistant chief in 1974. He served as an instructor at the State of Connecticut Fire Schools at Willimantic and New Haven from 1963-1973. As deputy chief training officer he conducted classes in fire safety in New Britain hospitals, industrial plants, universities and local schools. He was a member of the Barnstable Fairgrounds Golf Club.
      He leaves a son, Michael J. Spendolini Jr. of California; daughter, Patricia Hoar and her husband Michael J. of Mashpee; granddaughter, Kimberly Caprio, M.D. and her husband Angelo Caprio, M.D.; and a great-grandson, Mason Michael Caprio.
