    Page 24: "The oldest surviving son, Samuel Adams, became a successful merchant, undoubtedly helped by the malt house and wharf inherited from his father. He married as Boston on 21 April 1713, Mary Fifield. Their son, Samuel Adams, was the well-known revolutionary."

    Mary Fifield, daughter to Richard & Mary Fifield, born on the 8th day of May 1694.

    Samuel Adams and Mary Fifield were maryed on Tuesday in the forenoon, being the 21 day of April 1713, by ye Reverend Mr. Pemberton.

    Mary Adams, their first daughter, born Tuesday morning at 4 of the clock, being the 30th day of July, 1717.

    --- Samuel the Patriot recorded the death of his father as follows:

    Samuel Adams aforesaid, dyed on Tuesday, the eighth day of March 1747, about eleven o'clock in the forenoon; having lived with his wife thirty four years and about ten months. By her he had twelve children, only three of which survived him.

Their only daughter Mary Fifield was B. May 7-8, 1694, and m. Samuel Adams of Boston, April 21, 1713; their son Samuel Adams Jr. was b. Sept. 22, 1722. Patriot and Governor.
