    TRABISH - Mrs. Anna Tokach, age 90, a long-time resident of Indian Hill, Laceyville, Pa., left this life peacefully on Monday evening, July 30, 2007, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pa. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to the late Demetri and Dorothy Kaczur Trabish on March 3, 1917, she was the third oldest of seven. Anna lived and attended school in the Wilkes-Barre area until she and her husband, Nicholas Tokach, were married on Feb. 2, 1936, and then purchased their dairy farm on Indian Hill. Her husband, Nicholas Tokach, passed away on July 30, 1982. She was a cherished and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Anna worked throughout her life for B.F. Goodrich, in Exeter, Pa.; for Arrow United, in Wyalusing, Pa.; and at Betty's Diner, on Indian Hill. She was a devoted and faithful parishioner of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Meshoppen, Pa. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, baking and crafts. Surviving are her son, Perry D. Tokach, of Laceyville; and her three daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Fred Storey of Laceyville, Susanne and Lewis Smith of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Cindy and Art Johnson of Forkston, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Freda Tokach of Laceyville; a brother, Charlie Trabish, of Wilkes-Barre; four sisters, Pearl Wasil of Meshoppen, Terry Boyle of New Jersey, Emily Pittarelli of Reading, Pa., and Irene (Nancy) Gemski of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; also seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Tokach, who passed away on Aug. 11, 2002; a grandson, Jeffery Tokach, who passed away on March 30, 1976; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoar and Mrs. Helen Kavinski. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday Aug. 3, at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main Street, Meshoppen, with a Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Meshoppen, at 11 a.m. with Father Paul Fontanella of the church officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joachim's Cemetery in Meshoppen. Family and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.     Irene Gemski, 77, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday afternoon at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
    Born in Miners Mills, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Dorothy Kaczur Trabish.
    She attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was a homemaker all of her life. Irene took great pride and loved to work in her own greenhouse and to be surrounded by her family.
    She and her husband, Narcus J. Gemski celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2008.
    She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Tokach, Helen Kavinski and Mary Hoar.
    Surviving in addition to her husband, Narcus; are her sons, Timothy Gemski and his companion, Maria Coolbaugh, Plains Township, and Jamie Gemski and his companion, Janice Surrett, Wyalusing; granddaughter, Katelyn Gemski; brother, Charles Trabish, Miners Mills; sisters, Emily Pittarelli, Reading, Terry Boyle, New Jersey, and Pearl Wassil, Meshoppen; several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 South Main Street, Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    Deceased Name: Pearl "Priscilla" Wasil
    Pearl "Priscilla" (Trabish) Wasil, 90, of Meshoppen, formerly of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed into Eternal Life peacefully Monday afternoon, September 13, 2010, at home.
    Born on October 28, 1919, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Yadwocha (Dora Kaczur) Trabish. She was educated in the city schools.
    In her younger days, Pearl was employed in the local garment industry, working in several dress factories in the Wyoming Valley.
    Previously, she attended Holy Assumption of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church of North Wilkes-Barre.
    She is remembered by family as being a wonderful wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She had a great love of cooking and for entertaining all those she loved.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas G. Wasil, on January 7, 2001; and by sisters Mrs. Mary Hoar, Mrs. Helen Kavinski, Mrs. Anna Tokach and Mrs. Irene Gemski.
    Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nickalene and Ronald Dobranski of Meshoppen, with whom she resided; a brother, Charles Trabish of Wilkes-Barre; sisters Terry Boyle, New Jersey, and Emily Pittarelli of Reading; two grandchildren, Dyana Dobranski Ferrari of Meshoppen (who assisted with her caregiving), and Daniel Dobranski and his wife, Stephanie, of Woodbridge, Va.; three great-grandsons, Dustin Dobranski, Gianni Ferrari and Gage Ferrari; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Funeral services with Panachida will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the John V. Morris Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, followed by Divine Liturgy in Holy Assumption of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. James G. Hayer, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join her family for visitation Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Parastas Service conducted at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home with Father Hayer officiating.
