    John L. Hoar, age 42, of East Hamtramck Street, Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 20, 2005 in the emergency room at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on September 26, 1962 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to John R. and Jean (Taylor) Hoar. He was a member of the Local #17 Iron Workers Union and was also a member of the Eagles of Medina, Ohio.
    Besides his parents he is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Janet Hoar, a son, John Hoar of the home, three daughters, Jennifer Carmany of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Jessie Hoar of Mount Vernon, Josie Hoar of the home, a granddaughter Makyia Hoar, two sisters, Joanne (Jan) Foster and Jamie Hoar both of Medina.
    Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow at 8 PM. The family will observe a private burial at a later date.
    Memorial contributions may be made to family for the continued education of the children and can be left at the funeral home.

    MOUNT VERNON ? Martha Marie Hoar, 85, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the Country Court Nursing Center.
    She was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Bellville, the daughter Leonard and Edna (Winbigler) Henry. Martha was retired from Mount Vernon Developmental Center where she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 29 years.
    She is survived by two sons, Terry (Leora) Hoar of Whitehall and John (Jean) Hoar Jr. of Medina; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Lawrence Henry of Mount Vernon.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Hoar Sr., in 1983.
    A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with the Rev. Jamie Gump officiating. Friends may call Monday from noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
