Robert Dennis Jr. , who d. 5 June 1691, left in his Will twelve shillings to his grandchild Ruth Lawton to buy a Bible. He deeded land for a Quaker burying place "for the love I bear to the truth and the people of God which are in scorn called Quakers." (Genealogical Dictionary of RI, Austin).
