George (1) Lawton was christened 23 Sep 1607 at Cranford, Bedfordshire, England, son of George Lawton (b. 1581) and Isbell Smith (ba 1585). and he died 5 Oct 1693 at Portsmouth. He married Elizabeth Hazard who was born about 1628 of Portsmouth, daughter of Thomas Hazard (b. 1610) and Martha (ba 1610).
