According to this 1922 directory, a Michael and Mary Kirlin of Taylor Township had a total of 10 children: Susie, Katie, Phillip, Jim, Mamie, Anna, Mae, Margaret, Agnes & Willie http://www.rootsweb.com/~iaharris/1922/taylor.htm

I don't think those are minor children living at home in 1922, because according to the 1905 directory Maggie, Agnes and William (the last three on the 1922 list) were the only ones who were still minors in 1905. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iaharris/directories/1905_Residents_Taylor.htm

Note this may be the same Michael and Mary reported here (with daughter Kathryn)

We have a great-great-great grandfather Philip Kirlin born 1794 in Ireland and died 1883 in County Derry Ireland. He was married in 1827 in County Derry Ireland to Catherine or Mary Gormley. She was born 1806 in County Derry Ireland.

Their children include:
(1) Patrick or Paddy born 1826 County Derry Ireland; died 1890 Missouri Valley Harrison Co IA
(2) MICHAEL born 1837; died 1923 -- married 9/1875 in Pennsylvania (?) to MARY DONAHUE (possibly born 1853)
(3) John born 2/26/1843; died 4/26 or 4/27/1926 Harlan Shelby IA -- married Helen or Ellen Bridget Gormley
(4) Philip born 1841 Claudy Co Derry Ireland; died 7/1891 Missouri Valley Harrison Co IA -- married 1875 in Claudy County Derry Ireland to Ann Kirlin (different Kirlin family) born 1838 Claudy Co. Derry Ireland; died 3/1932 IA
(5) Hannah born 1845 Claudy Co Derry Ireland -- married Francis McDevitt
