Subject: Olive Elizabeth Mather
Hi, Thru doing some family search in Rootsweb.com I came across a request for info. This may not be of any help, but my Great-grandfather, George Edson Mann, was married to a Olive Elizabeth Mather. They had three children- George E. Mann b 8/6/1867 d 10/13/1869: Emmett E. Mann b 1/15/1872: and Jennie Mann b 2/22/1874. Olive died 6/25/1875 and George died in February 1876. Some of this information was given to my family years ago by a Minnie Mann Hewitt from KC, MO.

According to other info from Roots, Olive was married 3 times, 1 - William Brown 8/7/1851; one child - Olive Elizabeth Brown. 2 - McCartney 8/21/1866 in Paulding Co, Ohio; 3 - George Edson Mann. I am assuming they married in 1866 since his first wife died on 9/27/1865. There were 8 children by that first marriage - one was my grandfather.

George married Olive Elizabeth Mather. Olive (daughter of Alexander Mather and Harriet Elizabeth Reid) was born on 11 Jul 1835 in New Brunswick, Canada; died on 25 Jun 1875 in Glenwood, Schuyler Co, Missouri, USA. [Group Sheet]

1. George E. Mann was born on 6 Aug 1867; died on 13 Oct 1869.
2. Emmett E. Mann was born in Jan 1869-1870 in Missouri, USA.
3. Jennie Mann was born on 22 Feb 1874 in Missouri, USA.
