Mary E. Horr, 71, widow of Leon J. Nichols, died Wednesday afternoon
at 4:15 o'clock at her home, 17 Pleasant Avenue, after a two weeks' illness. She was born February 27. 1865, at Natural Bridge, Jefferson County, a daughter of John and Margaret Horr. She lived there for nearly 30 years and while there was married to Mr. Nichols. She moved to Amsterdam In 1691 and had made her home here ever since. Possessed of outstanding Christian qualities and a devout member of St. Mary's Church, she had many friends in the community. Her home and family were her
principal Interest Mr. Nichols died January 19, 1925.
She Is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Casimcr C. Musolff, Amsterdam; two sons, Harry E. Nichols, Amsterdam, and John E. Nichols, Hagaman, as well as several nieces and nephewsChildren:

John Horr, aged 63 years, died at 2:15 o'clock this morning of paralysis, at his home on Boardmen street. Mr. Horr was an exemplary citizen, a devoted husband and an indulgent father, and his death will be deeply deplored by a wide circle of acquaintances. He is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Eugene Warren of Carthage, N.Y., and Mrs. Leon Nicholas of this city, and four sons, John, William, Edward and James Horr, of this city. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
