    David Graves (599) was born 25 June 1773 in southern Vermont, and died in Sept. 1844 in Alexandria, Jefferson Co., NY. He married Annis Church. He married second Judith Chase of Oneida Co., NY. She was the sister of Moses Chase of Little Falls, NY and Rev. Jacob Chase of Rochester, VT. She died in April 1876 in Theresa, Jefferson Co., NY, age 91 years. He led a fife and drum corps in the Revolutionary War.

    Is listed on the Lewis County NY 1807 census as is his brother Robert.
    Isaac was a Captain in War of 1812.
    Also lived in Worthington, Franklin Co Ohio, returning to Jefferson Co New York.
    Two of his sons become physicians, Asa and William Shakespeare.

    Robert, and his family, lived in Dartmouth, Freetown & Middleboro, of Bristol Co MA. He bought land in Dartmouth, there in 1768. In 1773 "of Dartmouth" when be bought land at Freetown. Sold part of his holdings in 1785. The rest in 1791 after moving to New Salem, before 1790. While living in Freetown, in 1778, he was a sergeant under Capt. Henry Pierce of 4th Co. Middleboro, he served as commissary collecting forage. Note there are five Pierce marriages in this couples descendants.

    Robert had 37 grandsons. Three were named William, three named Charles, and three named Warren. None were named Robert. (24 granddaughters)

    1st child Warren returned to/stayed in Massachusetts, four children resided in New York; 2nd child Elizabeth, 4th Israel, 8th Elijah, and 11th child Mercy. The 3rd child Jacob went to Ohio, 7th Robert went to Illinois, and 12th Judith went to Michigan. The 10th, Isaac went to Ohio but returned to New York. JVS

    Robert's half brother, Peter, lived in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA. Little is known of him. He married Mercy/Marcy Pierce and by census appears to have had two sons and three daughters with unknown names.

    Robert's half brother, John, lived in Pelham, Hampshire Co MA. He married Abigail PEIRCE b: 24 Nov 1785 in Pelham, Hampshire, MA. Her parents were George Peirce & Sarah Pierce. Note spelling of surnames.

    Sarah was married near her 18th birthday. Sarah and Robert were married over 50 years. They had 12 children in 24 years. Sarah was about 45 years old at the birth of her last child, Judith. Judith was born near Sarah's birthday and two days before her 25th wedding anniversary. This couple buried one child, Peter in 1786. I have not been able to locate descendants of son Willis or daughter Sarah. JVS
