    Smith and Hobart Lists,
I am looking for decendants and/or information on Elizabeth "Betsey" Hobart and Hiatt SMITH ..
Betsey was born in NY according to Illinois Federal Census .. She was a widow and aged 54 years, which makes her be born 1796 Hiatt about the same time frame. He died in an Accident in Sept 1850 and was born in CT. They had several children .. Albert, Mary, Lucetta, Lucette (were they twins?) One married a SALMON and one a LOWE .. Percy (female). Lucy Ann, Elizabeth, Samantha, Harmon V., Franklin, Orange F. All were born in NY except Orange was born in Ohio ..
I know nothing for the siblings or their decendants .. Samantha is our line ..
The SMITH family moved from NY to Erie County, Ohio. They moved there about 1834/5. They left for LaSalle County, IL abt 1857 .. Hiatt died in Sept 1850 and Census was recorded Oct 1850 .. Elizabeth was a Widow. She was in Salsbury, LaSalle, IL. I have found where the childern moved to Iowa.. and Peoria, IL .. I am trying to find when The Smiths marrie and wondering if any one has them in there records ..
