WOODFORD GENEALOGY, page 510: COMMON ANCESTOR ALC / BRC

THOMAS WOODFORD: He came over in 1632, and lived in Roxbury,
where he belonged to the Church of Rev. John Elliot. He m.
Mary Blott of the same church, and removed to Hartford with the
early settlers of that place. About 1655 he removed to Northampton,
where he d. March 6, 1667. He left three daughters to whom he gave
his property by will; viz. to MARY, who m. ISAAC SHELDON ; to Hannah,
who m. Samuel Allen (ALC Link) ; to Sarah, who m. Nehemiah Allen.

39. Mary Blott, b. England before 1615, d. probably at Hartford or Northampton before 27 May 1662.

Thomas married Mary Blott before 1639 in Roxbury,,MA. Mary (daughter of Robert Blott and Susanna) was born in in ENG; died before 27 May 1662 in Hartford,CT or Northampton,MA. [Group Sheet]

MARY BLOTT: The 63rd member admitted to Roxbury church was "Mary
Blott a maid servant. She came in the year 1632 & was after married to Steward Woodfrod of this church, who after removed to Connecticut to Hartford church, where she lived in christian sort." (Roxbury Church Records 77)

Comments: "Steward Woodfrod" was THOMAS WOODFORD of Roxbury and Hartford. Mary Blott was baptized at Harrold, Bedfordshire, 24 December 1609, daughter of Robert Blott (TAG 67: 65-67). Robert Blott first appears in New England records in a list of those admitted as inhabitants of Charlestown in 1634 (Charleston Town Records 11); many of the others in this list were know to have arrived in New England in 1634. While he and his entire family may have come as early as 1632, only Mary is known to have been in New England before 1634, so she is here presumed to have come on her own, probably as a servant, two years in advance of the rest of her family.

78. Robert Blott, b. England, d. Boston, MA, between 27 March and 22 August 1648. His first wife #79, the mother of his children, is unknown.

Robert married Susanna about 1614 in ENG. Susanna died on 20 Jan 1660 in Boston,Suffolk,MA. [Group Sheet]
