John Upham brought his family in 1635 with Rev. Joseph Hull to Weymouth, MA. The Upham family of Bicton, Deven (near Otterton, 10 miles SE of Exeter), were inter-related with the Martin family of that area and descendants of both families came to early New England. Most of the information was taken from the Snow-Estes Ancestry, Vol. 2. While this source has the most extensive information found it is arranged in such a manner that it is hard to interpret.

b. Thomas Upham - His father's successor at Bicton. Buried there 2 March 1668. He married there Sarah Slade, 15 June 1625, buried 21 Oct. 1667. His wife may have been a sister of John Upham's wife, Elizabeth. Eight children at Bicton.
c. Susanna Upham - B.a. 1595. Alive in 1635. Probably the sister Smith named in the will of Joan Upham Martin in 1666.

e. Judith Upham - B.a. 1606. She married Edward Martin, 14 June 1632, Ottery St. Mary (who may have been a cousin, but not brother of Robert Martin), see FTM record of Richard Martin of Rehoboth, MA in Vol. 19 (Search for Mary & John).

1. John Martin - Baptized 22 Feb. 1634/5, Ottery St. Mary,Devon. Died 31 March 1713, aged 80, Swansea, MA. He married Johanna Esten, 26 April 1671, Swansea (1645-1733), daughter of Thomas Eston and Ann of North Providence, RI. John came
about 1656. His will dated 28 Aug. 1711, probated 6 April 1713. Nine children (1672-1686).
