Ruth C.D. Horr
Ruth C. Dahl Horr, 93, formerly of Venice, Fla., died April 12 at 3:30 a.m. in the Highlands at Wyomissing, where she had resided since 1996.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Loren Dahl, in August 1972 and by her second husband, William Horr, in May 1989.
Born in Marysville, Mo., she was a daughter of the late James A. and Amy (Walkup) Crossan.
Horr was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Reading.
She attended nursing school at Grace Hospital, Detroit.
Horr was a deaconess at the Venice United Church.
Surviving are a son, Dr. James M. Dahl, Shillington; and a daughter, Janice D. (Dahl) Brigham, Lafayette, N.Y.
Other survivors include four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Dahl, in 1944.
Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Auman Funeral Homes, Reading. Inurnment will be in Oakview Cemetery,Royal Oak, Mich.

Ruth Horr
Ruth C. Horr (Crossan), formerly of Venice, died Monday, April 12, 2004. She was 93.
She was born Sept. 23, 1910, in Marysville, Miss., and moved to the area in 1996 from Reading, Pa. She belonged to the Woman's Club of Venice, Venice Opera Guild and Venice Art League. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Brigham of Lafayette, N.Y.; a son, James of Shillington, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Auman Funeral Home in Reading is in charge of arrangements.
