In Marcus's will she was named Alvira. It is Elvira on her head stone. Elvira buried six of her nine children, between April 1853 and Dec 1855. In March 1856 her husband died. In 1855 her son Recellus was pioneering in Iowa. Son Charles left New York after mother Elvira died and settled in Calif. Only Evaline stayed in New York, in 1880 she was single.JVS 1860 Lewis Co.
