Old Saybrook ? Kathleen Holmes Hoar, 95, of Dudley Ave., Old Saybrook, died Friday, July 11, at Middlesex Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Horace T. Hoar and was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Adair McCulloch, and a grandson, John Frederick Hoar.
She was originally from Maine, and resided in Old Saybrook since 1947. She worked as the bookkeeper for over 30 years for H.T. Hoar & Son, which later became Saybrook Contractors. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Old Saybrook. She was also a member of the Crafters Club of that church and a member of the Shoreline Club 60.
She is survived by a son, Truman E. Hoar and his wife Betty of Essex, Conn.; granddaughters, Judith Hoar of Old Saybrook, Kate DeLosSantos of Old Lyme, and grandsons Matthew, Robb and Paul McCulloch all of California; her son-in-law, David McCulloch of Old Lyme; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Dawn Thomas of Old Saybrook, and a devoted family friend, Robert Clark of Old Saybrook.
The funeral and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
