      William Melvin Horr October 21, 2008 William Melvin Horr, 86, of Paddocks Landing, Phoenix, NY, died Tuesday. States side Army veteran WWII and Korea, and Coast Guard veteran (1942-56). Later a cook on a ship for Buchanan Marine, Inc. Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie E. Evans; two cousins, Verna J. Myers of Fulton, and Faye Bands of Pulaski. Graveside service 11 a.m. this Saturday in the Phoenix Rural Cemetery, Chestnut St., VFW Chaplin Ed Bradish. Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix has charge of arrangements.
