HAYDENVILLE - Nancy Hoar, 70, of Haydenville, the loving wife of Marion E. Hoar, mother of Sacheverell Seney, Leslie Lashway, Andrew Orr and Alex Hoar, and nine interesting grandchildren, Nancy (Mimi) the love of my life has died.
She was the prettiest, smartest and kindest person I have ever known.
She was a professor of communication at Western New England College since 1982, where she was fortunate to have many good friends, both colleagues and students.
She received degrees from George Washington University, bachelor's in English; the University of Pennsylvania, master's in linguistics, Boston University, doctorate in psycholinguistics, and Western New England College, an MBA. She and Marion were lucky to travel throughout this country and the world on professional and family trips and came to appreciate the great beauty of this country and the world we live in.
Please, no flowers. Send memories to Marion E. Hoar, P.O. Box 276, Haydenville, MA, 01039 and please remember Nancy Hoar when you see the sunrise and sunset - these are gifts given to us every day; when you hear the laughter of happy children - this is the sweetest sound in the world; and when you are with the people you love - nothing is more precious.
Scrabble in the gazebo's summer sun, with the crows is no more, and with apologies to T.S. Eliot ... Not with a bang, but a whimper. The cremation was entrusted to the Williamsburg Funeral Home.
