      Deceased Name: Katherine H. McNeil Katherine "Kay" H. McNeil
      86, of Springfield, formerly of Petersburg, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.
      She was born Jan. 20, 1911, in Updike, the daughter of S.H. and Nelle DeWeirs Hoar. She married Wilbur L. McNeil in 1936; he died in 1985. Mrs. McNeil, a DePaul University graduate and a school teacher and homemaker, was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Petersburg.
      Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Allen of Petersburg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marianne Howard of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
      Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg, the Rev. Eddie Bratton officiating. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Petersburg.
