      Westport - Joseph F. Daley, 83, of Westport passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at home after a brief illness. He was husband of the late Lucille (Hoar) Daley.
      Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph A. and Esther V. (Mitcheson) Daley, he had lived in Westport for most of his life. A WWII veteran, he served his country in the United States Navy where he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, the American Area Medal, the European Theatre of Operation Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon. Prior to retirement in 1985, he was a millwright for Local 1121 of Boston. Mr. Daley was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
      Survivors include a daughter: Joanne Godbout of Cranston, RI; 2 brothers: George Daley of Fall River and Michael P. Daley of NH; a sister: Constance Sullivan of Naples, FL; 3 grandchildren: Gregory T. Siembab, Andrea R. Prigaro and Jeffrey D. Wilkinson; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
      He was father of the late Rosemary Siembab.
      Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
      Visitation will be Saturday from 9 - 10 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home prior to the Mass.
      Interment will be private.
