      Verda F. Hoar: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice

      Deceased Name: Verda F. Hoar
      Verda F. (LaFlamme) Hoar, 72, of this city, died Wednesday at home. She was a waitress for many years at the former Log Cabin Restaurant. She worked in the computer lab at Holyoke Community College for several years. Born and educated here, she was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Holyoke Community College. She was a member of the local 4-H Club for many years and the Morgan Horse Association. She leaves her husband, John J. Hoar Jr.; three sons, John J. III and Jeffrey A. Hoar, both of Easthampton, and Michael A. Hoar of Holyoke; six daughters, Verda F. Hess and Maria A. O'Brien, both of Chicopee, Pamela J. Bergeron of Holyoke, Jo-Anne T. Dennis of Belchertown, Jacquelyn Pitoniak of Huntington and Jennifer Wilda of Southampton; a brother, Lester LaFlamme of Holyoke; a sister, Joan T. Hogan of Titusville, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday morning at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, with burial in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday late afternoon through early evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Lifecare, P.O.
