John Lawton, b ca 1648; d bef 3 June 1678 when his widow remarried; m prob ca 1675 (since he had but one child and his widow remarried in 1678) Mary Boomer or Booman b ca 1655 of Newport and died after 27 Jan 1715 when she was mentioned in the will of her second husband, dau of Matthew Boomer or Booman (br 1620) and Eleanor (br 1625). Mary m (2) 3 June 1678 Portsmouth, Gideon Freeborn, b ca 1634 and died 28 Feb 1720. His will proved in Portsmouth, son of William Freeborn (ba 1595) and Mary (b 1601).
