  [[ Obituary: Register-Guard, The (Eugene, OR) - January 7, 2005 Deceased Name: Elizabeth Edwards Elizabeth M. Edwards of Eugene died Dec. 27 of causes related to age. She was 83. Edwards was born June 24, 1921, in Passaic, N.J., to Owen and Elizabeth Washington Hoar. She married Edwin Edwards on April 2, 1950. He died June 19, 1996. She grew up in Clifton, N.J., and moved to San Francisco as a young woman. She later returned to Clifton, living there from 1962 to 1994. She was assistant vice president of a bank, after working her way up from a secretarial position, and took college courses in connection with her banking career. She enjoyed walking, reading, sewing and dancing. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Edwards of Eugene; a son, Ed Edwards of Cotuit, Mass.; a sister, Evelyn Zardetto of New Jersey; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later. Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
