Mrs. Patricia H. Spirito, age 76 years, of Lynn, died Thursday at Union Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Spirito, who died this past July, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy A. (Clark) Hoar. She attended Millis schools, and graduated from Millis High School, Class of 1950.
She served in the U. S. Air Force, Airman First Class, active duty from 1960 - 1962, and in the Air Force Reserves until she retired in 1982 at the rank of Master Sergeant. Mrs. Spirito was employed as a supervisor in the Engineering Department at New England Telephone, in Saugus until she retired in 1986.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Lynn, Congregational, the Telephone Pioneers, the GLCAA bowling league. She was a volunteer usher at North Shore Music Theater, she volunteered in the Veterans Administration office at City Hall in Lynn, and at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. She was a warden for elections at Shoemaker School. Mrs. Spirito enjoyed knitting, reading, walking the beach, and bowling.
She is survived by one brother Robert Hoar of Port Washington, NY, one sister Joanne Andrews of Millis, and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Shirley Hoar.
Service Details: Her funeral will be held at the First Church of Christ in Lynn 678 Lynnfield St. on Monday at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Cremation will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
