I Joseph GROUT of Monson in the County of Hampden and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Physician.?a?"considering the Uncertainty of this Mortal life and being Weak in body, but of Sound and perfect Mind and memory?a?"(blessed be Almighty God for the Same,) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form of allowing ?a?" that is to say -- first I give an bequeath unto my beloved Wife Phebe GROUT, one third part of all my Real Estate for her use during her life likewise one half of my house, the west part extending as far east as the Centex of the Kitchen fire place, running through the Chimney South including the West Square room and South bed room She to have Privelege of Going up Chamber and down Better & use of the Oven What she needs ?a?"
