MILTON -- Timothy J. Driscoll, 71, of Milton, a retired maintenance supervisor for the Boston Housing Authority, died Thursday at Quincy Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long illness.
Mr. Driscoll was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester before moving to Milton 16 years ago.
Mr. Driscoll was employed by the Boston Housing Authority for 33 years and retired in 1985.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Gail P. (Hoar) Driscoll; two sons, Timothy J. Driscoll and Jeremy P. Driscoll, a daughter, Lea M. Driscoll, all of Milton; five stepchildren and three brothers, David Driscoll of Wilmington, John Driscoll of Norwood and Jeremiah Driscoll of East Boston.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Agatha's Church. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave.
