Truman Eueene Hoar, son of H#race Truman Hoar and Kathleen Holmes, was born a t St. Stephens,
N, 1 . 31 August 1927e He was a plumbing and heatring and electrical contractor, living at
Curiosity Lane, Essex, Conn. He narried 15 February 1958, Betty Pollard, bom at Boston,
Mass. 29 July 1933. Their children were:

HOAR TRUMAN E. Truman E. Hoar of Essex passed away peacefully on December 14 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He is survived by his wife Betty L. (Pollard) Hoar of Essex and his daughter Judith Hoar of Old Saybrook. He was predeceased by his parents Horace T. & Kathleen M. (Holmes) Hoar a son John Frederick Hoar and his sister Jean McCulloch. He was born in East Machias ME and graduated from Chapman Tech. in New London. He served in the US Army in WWII and the Korean conflict and was the battalion commander of the Ct National Guard in Westbrook. Truman was a plumbing heating and electrical contractor with HT Hoar & Sons. He held a master license in all three trades. When his father retired he incorporated the business to Saybrook Contractors where he mentored his longtime companion and extended family member Rob Clark. Truman had a passion for collecting antique tools guns and stray cats. His extensive tool collection was eventually sold and some pieces ended up at the Smithsonian Institute. Funeral services and interment are private.
