      BURKE, Theresa (Hoar), 74, beloved wife of William M. Burke of Newington, died on Thursday, (December 30, 2004), at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, on March 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Catherine (Griffin) Hoar and was a Newington resident for the past 25 years. In 1993, she retired from St. Francis Hospital as an L.P.N. and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Newington, and a member of its Ladies Guild. Besides her husband of 50 years, she was the devoted mother of two daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Peter Tinkham, and Kathleen and Kevin Lauretti, all of Newington. She also leaves two wonderful grandchildren, Sarah and Kevin Lauretti, Jr., whom she so loved. She will always be in their hearts. She also leaves her dear cousin, Margaret McAloon, of West Hartford. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call TODAY from 4-8 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
