Haines Druggist Dies Suddenly
T.C. Huff, Former Bakerite, Born In Iowa
T. C. Huff, Haines druggist and former Baker resident, died Wednesday night while clerking in the Huff drug store. He had been in poor health for sometime, but his death came unexpectedly.
Mr. Huff was born January 3, 1870 near the town of Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was married to Laura Hoar in Valisca, Iowa December 24, 1895. Mrs. Huff died in Haines May 3, 1936.
Mr. Huff engaged in farming in Baker valley when he first came to Baker in 1907. He was employed in the Rexall drug store in Baker for several years before moving to Haines a few years ago. He was a member of Baker lodge No. 47, A.F. and A.M., Keystone chapter No. 15, Royal Arch Masons of Baker and Esther chapter No. 11, Order of the Eastern Star of Baker. Mr. Huff was a member of the Methodist church of Haines.
Surviving Mr. Huff are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Lee of Haines, Mrs. F. R. Shedd of Palo Alto, California, and Miss Elizabeth huff of Olympia, Washington; a brother, Dr. J. W. Huff of Baker; and three grandchildren, Lois and Robert Lee of Haines and Elizabeth Shedd of Palo Alto.
Funeral services have not been arranged. The body is in the Baker Funeral Home.
