Her sister's obituary:
Beverly Jean (nee: Miller) Wood, age 80, a lifelong resident of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2012, at Brookside Care Center surrounded by her family.
Bev was the daughter of the late George T. and Cora I. (Welbourn) Miller and was born on May 30, 1931, in Kenosha. She attended Roosevelt Grade School, Lincoln Junior High and Mary D. Bradford High School. In high school, the Kenosha News named her Keen Teen.
She was married to Billy J. Wood on August 11, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Beverly worked for Dr. Anthony DeFurio and Benson Oil.
She was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society as well as the Catholic Women's League. She enjoyed bowling as a part of the Thursday Morning Koffee Klutch League. At family gatherings everyone waited for her brownies, chip dip, fried chicken and sweet tea. Her grandchildren remember playing cards with her as well as having sleepovers where they would watch "Adventures in Babysitting" and eat popcorn in their special TV room.
She was survived by her three sons, Thomas Wood (Rae Ann Kevek) of Franklin, WI, Jerry A. Wood and BG Wood, both of Kenosha; her grandchildren Abbigail (Paul Hampton), Jennifer (Paul Runnoe), Lauren, Mackenzie, Jarrett, and Jordan; and great grandchild, Maxwell Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Wood; her siblings, Avis M. Hoar and George "Ted" Miller.
