      The Republican, January 25, 1884
      Evanswood
Died: in Evanswood, Wis., Jan 15, 1884. Daniel Hoar, aged 72 years, 11 months and 21 days.
The Death of Daniel Hoar has cast a gloom over the entire community; he lived in this neighborhood over 19 years; had hardly ever seen a sick day. Mr. Hoar got up in the morning feeling as well as usual, doing his work, then taking a team to Ritz's mill. When he came home, he carried his grist to the house and started with the team to go across the street. It was noticed the team stopped and he was found dead; he died without a struggle or a groan.
