  [[ Obituary: Union-News (Springfield, MA) - December 16, 1997 Deceased Name: John J. Cunningham John J. Cunningham, 54, of 9 Shawmut St. died Saturday at Caritas-Southwood Hospital in Norfolk. He was a senior telecommunications service representative for Travelers Insurance Cos. He had been with the company for 29 years. Born in Springfield, he lived here for 30 years. He was a 1961 graduate of the former Technical High School. He was an Air Force veteran, and a member of the Travelers Men's Club. He leaves his wife, Linda J. (Wood) Cunningham; his mother, Katherine (Hoar) Cunningham of Agawam; a son, Marc of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Chaye Cunningham of West Springfield; a brother, Richard of Enfield; two sisters, Patrica Dunn of Enfield, and Janet Koval of Clifton Park, N.Y. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home and St. Michael's Church, with the burial at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield. The calling hours are Wednesday afternoon and evening, and memorial contributions may be made to the Orphan Foundation of America, 380 Maple Ave. West, Suite LL-5, Department P, Vienna, Va., 22180.
