  [[ Obituary: Charlotte C. Kilgore, 87, of Peabody formerly of Lynnfield died on Saturday, March 2 at the Brooksby Village in Danvers. Born in Newton on September 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Elizabeth (Hoar) Cushman. Mrs. Kilgore was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1943. She had attended Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing from 1944 to 1946 and was a graduate of Hickox Secretarial School in Boston, Class of 1947. Mrs. Kilgore was a resident of Peabody for the past 10 years and had been a resident of Lynnfield for 50 years. She was a retired secretary for the Woburn Camber of Commerce and was an Avon Lady for 20 years. Mrs. Kilgore was past treasure and president for the AMVETS Auxiliary Post 48 in Winthrop. She was a member of the Cog Wheel and Church Choir at the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield. Mrs. Kilgore had also enjoyed volunteering her time to many organizations. Mrs. Kilgore was the wife of the late Charles Kilgore. She was the mother of Susan Mattia and her husband Ernest, and Abigail Kilgore all of Lynnfield, Charles "Skip" Kilgore and his wife Leslie of North Reading, Jane Jenkins and her husband Kenneth of North Andover, and the late James and Dorothy Kilgore. Mrs. Kilgore was the sister of the late Betty Orrall and Hubert Cushman Jr. She was the grandmother of Charles "Chuck", Daniel Kenny, Niocholas, Kevin, Kristofer, and the late Keith Jenkins. Mrs. Kilgore was the great grandmother of Charlie, Isabelle, and Adrianna. Her funeral services will be held at the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the church prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter P.O. Box 845945 Boston, MA 02284-5945 or to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
