Retired machinist, formerly of Warren
George F. Dorsey, 86, of 1014 Hope St., Bristol, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Hoar) Dorsey.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late John and Ellen (Kay) Dorsey, he had lived in Warren before moving to Bristol.
Mr. Dorsey was a machinist for the former Coats & Clark/Crown Fastener Co., Warren, before retiring in 1983. He worked in a Civilian Conservation Corps camp during summers in his youth.
He was a member of the Benjamin Church Tenants Association
He leaves a son, George F. Dorsey Jr. of Somerset; a daughter, Sandra A. Beres of Torrington, Conn.; a brother, Thomas Dorsey of Fall River; and a grandson. He was the brother of the late John Dorsey and Mary Howard.
His funeral was on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Sansone Funeral Home in Bristol. He was buried in St. Mary Cemetery, Bristol.
