Selectman at Norwich, 1671, and on the jury there in 1691. Accepted as a freeman on )ct. 8, 1663. 3 Feb. 1702-3 inventory on the estate of "John Calkin" of Norwich, deceased 8 Jan. 1702-3 made by Simon Huntington and Joseph Backus. 4 Feb. 1702-3 Hugh and John Calkins appeared at a Prerogative Court held at New London and made oath that they have made a true presentment of the estate of their deceased father. 28 Jan. 1703-4 receipts showing the following have received their parts: - viz. Sary (Sarah) Calkin; Samuel Calkin; Samuel Hide and Samuel Gifford. 6 Oct. 1711 inventory on the estate of Sarah Colkin of Norwich deceased May 1711 and "Relleck of John Colkin." Taken by Solomon Tracy and Simon Huntington for 4 pounds - 06 pence.
