Deceased Name: BOWLER. G. HOWARD BOWLER
BOWLER. G. Howard Bowler, 75, of Kenny Drive, New Haven, died Tuesday (September 23, 1997) in Connecticut Hospice after a long illness. He was the husband of Rosemary O'Donnell Bowler. He was born Jan. 21, 1922 in New Haven a son of the late James and Celia Hoar Bowler. He was employed for many years by the New Haven Fire Dept. as a firefighter, retiring in 1970 with the rank of Captain. He then became a Vice President of Central Guard Co., and later worked for Yale University. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, the Hamden Elks Club and the Loafers Club of New Haven. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Paul H. Bowler of Glastonbury and two grandsons. He was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Robert Bowler, and a sister Dorothy Bowler. Funeral will be Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Mass of Christi an Burial in St. Mary Church, Hillhouse Ave., New Haven at 10 a.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, Sept. 26, 4-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to Ct.
