Charles Blair Lindsay, son of William or Thomas Lindsay and Elizabeth Hoar, was bom
a t Belmont, N. S. 8 March 1865, and died a t Sylvan Lake, Alberta 17 March 1953. He
married, f i r s t , Roxenna or Roxenia Barnhill, daughter of Charles Barnhill and Margaret
Sarah Fulton. She was bom 27 September I867, died 4 March 1908/9, and i s buried with
husband and son Cecil in Wainwright, Alberta, He married, second, in 1921, Martha Slier
Carver of Sylvan Lake, She died 22 M.arch 1939, age 68, and i s buried in Wainwright.
He once operated a general store and a sawmill a t the edge of Onslow v i l l a g e . He l a t er
b u i l t a dam two miles up the r i v e r . In the l a t e 1890's he b u i l t a 10-mile s l u i c e to
carry his lumber from Farm Lake to Belmont, N. S. Children by his f i r s t wlfei (continued)
