HOARD, Paul E. - Of Flint, age 84, died Sunday, December 17, 2000 at Briarwood Manor. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, December 20, 2000 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Rev. Berniece Matejcek officiating. Private burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hoard will lie in state at the funeral home where family will receive visitors 1-4 and 6-9PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes area available at the funeral home. Mr. Hoard was born in Tuscola County, MI on February 11, 1916, the son of A. E. Hoard and Alice Hart. Paul married Anna Louise Pichner in 1940. He retired from AC Spark Plug in 1972 after 30 years of service and was a member of Union Local #651. Mr. Hoard is survived by: 3 children, Paula (Jack) Campbell, Ray (Helen) Hoard, Stephen (Fran) Hoard; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 1998; parents; and 5 brothers. The family would like to thank the Briarwood Manor Staff and Dr. J. Shah for their excellent care during his stay.

BENTON, Mrs. Dorothy Marie - A life long resident of Millington, went home with our Lord Sunday morning, April 6, 2003 while at the Sun Crest Medical Facility in Lapeer, MI. Dorothy was 83. Dorothy was born April 11, 1919 in Genesee County and was the daughter of Charles and Agnes (Gibson) Hoard and had been a life long Millington resident. Dorothy married Mr. Frank C. Benton on November 2, 1935 and together they shared 43 years of marriage before Frank passed in 1978. Dorothy was employed for many years at Fall's 5 & 10?! Value Store in Millington, she was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Millington and was once active as an adopted grandparents for the Mayville Schools. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her family; children, Roberta and Richard Lumsden of Org., Howard and Eleanor Benton of Millington, Elaine and Jim Snyder of Lapeer, MI, Willie and Sue Ill of Millington; grandchildren; Rusty, Jimmy, Clifford, Jeff, Virginia, Shelley, Eric, and Neil, as well as 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Polk Webster. Also, she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ila Raymond, Mrs. Chris Sebert, and Mrs. Norma Harris as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Dorothy is also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ill in 1993, and a grandson, Howard Dean Benton in 1984, and also 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 1PM Thursday April 10, 2003 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, with the burial to follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery, Pastor James Bruner will officiate the services. Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday where the family will be present to receive friends from 1PM until 8pm Dorothy will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 11:30AM until the hour of the services. Mrs. Ila Elaine (Hoard-Foster) Raymond of Dearborn Heights formerly of Millington, passed away early Friday morning July 27, 2012 while at the Cart Wright Hospice Center in Saginaw Township, Saginaw MI, Ila was 91.
Ila was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Gibson) Hoard. She was born in Forest Township, Michigan on July 6, 1921 and grew up in Millington. Ila loved to dance and a s a young lady she danced to many of the "Big Bands", she loved making and her world famous peanut butter fudge that no one could ever come close to coping her secret. She loved playing games and when she played the games she had only one objective and that was to win. Ila was an avid reader, she loved spending time with her family and her friends. Though she will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her she will be remembered as doing it her way for 91 years.
Ila leaves her children; son Rolland Foster, Garnet & Matt Ollila, Charlotte & Carl Lukosius, and Frank & Michelle Foster, thirteen grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sisters; Crystal Sebert, and Norma Harris, as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Ila was preceded in death by Floyd, Helena, Beula, Ruth, Marge, Gladys, Dorothy, Charles, daughter in-law Margie Foster, and granddaughter Ronda Lucarelli.
The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Monday from 3:00 pm until 8:00PM, and also from 10:00 am Tuesday morning until services begin. Funeral services will at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday July 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the burial following at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. HOARD, Mr. Russell G. - A life long resident of Millington, passed
away Tuesday, November 4, 2003, while at the St. Mary's Medical Center
in Saginaw, MI. Russ was 67 years old. Russ was born June 28, 1937 in
Millington and was the son of Albert and Adorna (Daly) Hoard. In 1956
Russ married his wife of 47 years, Geneieve. Russ was employed for 44
years with the AC-Delphi Plant of GM in Flint and was also a member of
the UAW Local 651. Russ leaves to cherish his memory: his wife,
Genevieve; and their son Russ both of Millington; 2 granddaughters,
Shera M. Hoard and Jaime Lynn Hoard; and a great-granddaughter Skylar
Marie; as well as two sisters, Evelyn Yost of Vassar and Uneta Krause
of FL; special niece and her husband Adorna and Joe Mallard; and their
daughter Jillie; special nephew, David Yost; as well as several other
nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Friends may call at
the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington where the family will be present
on Thursday from 2PM until 8PM. Funeral services for Russ will be
conducted on Friday, November 7, 2003 at 1PM at the Hanlin Funeral
Home, with the burial to follow at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Arbela
