    Deceased Name: HELEN L. SHEA, 91
    WORCESTER - Helen L. (Kennedy) Shea, 91, of 42 Richards St., an elementary-school teacher for many years, died Wednesday in Hermitage Nursing Home after a short illness.
    Her husband, John J. Shea Jr., died in 1981. She leaves two daughters, Joyce A. George of Worcester and Corinne F. Tobin of Wayland; a brother, David W. Kennedy of Worcester; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Ann P. Kobel of Leicester, died last January. She was born in Worcester, daughter of James H. and Mary E. (Hoar) Kennedy, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Worcester Normal School in 1924.
    Mrs. Shea was an elementary-school teacher in the city school system for 37 years, most recently at Gates Lane School. She Retired in 1973. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and an honorary member of its St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was a member of the Salvation Army Founders' Club, the National Retired Teachers Association and the Massachusetts State Employees Association.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow from O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

    John J. Kennedy, 79, of 15 Mayside Lane died Friday in St. Vincent Hospital.
    Mr. Kennedy was a machinist for 15 years at Reed & Prince Mfg. Co., retiring in 1974. He formerly worked for 25 years at the former Jensen's Wayside Dairy in Shrewsbury until it closed.
    Mr. Kennedy was a member of St. Peter's Church.
    He leaves a brother, David W. Kennedy; two sisters, Helen N. Shea and Anna Kobel, all of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces.
    He was born in Worcester, son of James H. and Mary L. (Hoar) Kennedy, and lived here all his life.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow from O'Connor Brothers, 592 Park Ave., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

    Deceased Name: David W. Kennedy, Sr.
    WORCESTER David W. Kennedy, Sr., 95, of 59 Wildwood Avenue, died Friday, Dec. 21, in his home, after an illness. His wife, Louise E. (Donahue) Kennedy died in 2004.
    He leaves two sons, David W. Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Mary of Winthrop and Daniel J. Kennedy and his wife Mary of Holden; a daughter, Sheila I. Altobelli and her husband James of North Brookfield; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a son, Dennis R. Kennedy, who died in 2001 and several brothers and sisters.
    Mr. Kennedy was born in Worcester, son of James and Mary (Hoar) Kennedy. He was a Worcester City Police Officer for 37 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Worcester. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed working around the house and gardening.
    The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 24 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial with military honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM.     LEICESTER - Ann P. (Kennedy) Kobel, 80, of 1073 Main St., a former timekeeper and clerk at Crompton & Knowles Co. in Worcester, died Monday at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness.
    She leaves her husband of 23 years, Russell B. Kobel; five stepsons, Henry Kobel of Leicester, Paul W. Kobel of Westminster, Vt., Thomas R. Kobel of Homosassa, Fla., Joseph E. Kobel of Worcester and James D. Kobel of Miami; two stepdaughters, Kathleen M. Larochelle of Gulfport, Miss., and Grace Lear of Maryville, Tenn.; a brother, David W. Kennedy; a sister, Helen M. Shea, both of Worcester; 23 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of James and Mary E. (Hoar) Kennedy, and lived there before moving to Leicester in 1991. She graduated from North High School, Worcester, and from the Sargent School, which was a division of Boston University. Mrs. Kobel was a timekeeper and clerk for 30 years at Crompton & Knowles Co. in Worcester, retiring in 1973.
    She was a member of St. Pius X Church, the Leicester Housing Authority Tenants Association and the Leicester Senior Citizens Club.
    She was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
