WILLIAM E. BUCK. 84. of Chenango Bridge, died at 7 a. m. Thursday. He is survived by a son, Ralph, of Binghamton; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Glover, of Chenango Bridge, and Mrs. Stanley Root, of Binghamton; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Preston, of Binghamton, several grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Hopler and Georgia Funeral Home, 483 Chenango Street. Funeral arrarigemerits will be made later.

BUCK? Ralph B. Buck. 71, 8 Matthews'Road, Broad Acres, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday at Binghamton General Hospital. He Is survived by his wife, Etta Buck. Broad Acres; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Glover, Chenango Bridge and Mrs. Stanley (Winifred) Root. Binghamton: five nephews and one niece. The funeral and committal services will be held Thursday at 1 p. m. from the Hbpler & Georgia Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.

Winifred married Stanley Irwin Root on 8 Jun 1922 in Binghamton, Broome Co, New York, USA. Stanley (son of John Adam Root and Cora Horr) was born on 24 Sep 1901 in Oxford, Marquette Co, Wisconsin, USA; died in Oct 1973. [Group Sheet]

Stanley I. Root, 79, of Stuart, Fla., and Henderson Harbor died Sunday. Born in Binghamton, he lived in Fayetteville 25 years, moving away in 1990. He graduated from Colgate University. He was a former co-owner of Root's Express and was an advanced classical pianist. He was past master of Fayetteville Masonic Lodge 578. He volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Watertown Meals on Wheels. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of the ?

Stanley Irwin Root Jr '45, June 30, 2002. US Marine Corps. He had been VP of Root's Express, a motor freight carrier in East Syracuse, NY, for many years, retiring in the late 1980s. Survivors include his son and daughter.
