Conn: C500 Freedom--The funeral for Dwight Garold Conn, 84, will be 2 p.m. Wed- nesday at the Freedom Christian Church. The Revs. Mark Kinkle and Jerry Stafford will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Arrange- ments are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva. He was born May 2, 1917, in Bloomington, Kan., to Leonard E. and Eva Hoar Conn and died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at his home near Freedom. He attended rural schools in the Freedom area. On Sept. 27, 1935, he married Maxine Province at Alva. They lived near Freedom. He worked at several jobs, including three years as a government trapper. He then worked for Woods County District 2 where he retired in 1979 as forman. Surviving are one son, Garold of Muskogee; one daughter, Naomi Fay Noblitt of Freedom; one brother, Marvin of North Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one brother. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Freedom Ambulance Service.
