PAUL E. GOODENOW SERVICES ARE HELD
Last rites for Paul E. Goodenow, 43, who died Tuesday morning in his home here following an extended illness, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. M.H. Nothdurft, pastor of the local Methodist church, conducted the services. The Knights of Pythias had charge.
Goodenow was born June 30, 1903, in Maquoketa, the son of the late Winfield and Eva Phillips Goodenow. On Aug. 30, 1926, he was married in Clinton to Martha Ellen Horr, who survives.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons, Robert Paul Goodenow of Chicago, Pfc. Darrell Goodenow of Camp Pickett, Va., and Frank, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Burns, Des Moines; two grandsons; one brother, Brace of Chicago; and three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Gish, Miss Helen Goodenow and Mrs. Alice Melchor, all of Chicago. One brother preceded him in death.
