Deceased Name: Stewart P. Sage, 63, owned auto sales firm
Stewart P. Sage, 63, of 237 Wisdom Way, owner and proprietor of Yesteryear Auto Sales, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Wilmington, Vt., he moved to West Deerfield in 1950, and then to Greenfield in 1968.
He was a member of the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce.
He was also a former member of the Yankee Car Club, and was a collector and restorer of antique and classic automobiles.
For 15 years he distributed Christmas presents to needy children in the Greenfield area.
He enjoyed fishing.
He leaves his wife, the former Sheila Hoar; three sons, Stanley and David, both of Vernon, Vt., and Stewart Jr. of Pittsburg, N.H.; two daughters, Ruth Parker of Northampton and Tracy Sage of Greenfield; two stepsons, Barry Smith of Bernardston and Randy Smith of Greenfield; a stepdaughter, Cyndie Rowell of Conway; his mother, Alice Sage of Brattleboro, Vt.; two brothers, Raymon Sage of Hinsdale, N.H., and Wallace of Hudson, Fla., seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and a great-grandson.
The funeral will be Monday morning at McCarthy Funeral Home, with burial in Green River Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday evening. McCarthy Funeral Home is in charge.
