Dorothy S. Malechek, 79
of West Point, Va. died Tuesday, March 2, 2004. She was a member of West Point Christian Church for 72 years. Her son, Richard Allen Smith, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edmond G. "Moon" Malechek; two daughters, Sandra Smith Hoar of Toano, Susan Malechek of West Point; three sons, Edmond F. Malechek of Williamsburg, Bruce W. Malechek of Providence Forge and Stanley H. Malechek of Williamsburg; two sisters, Louise Sledge of Texas, Shirley Kline of Boca Raton, Fla.; three brothers, Wilmore T. Wyatt of West Point, Vincent W. Moskalski of Richmond, Donald H. Moskalski of Missouri; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at West Point Christian Church, 290 W. Euclid Blvd. Burial in St. Theresa Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the church. Memorials may be made to West Point Christian Church, P.O. Deceased Name: EDMOND G. 'MOON' MALECHEK
Edmond G. "Moon" Malechek, 82, of West Point, Va., died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004.
He was a World War II Army veteran. Moon was an avid musician who enjoyed entertaining his fellow troops with his guitar playing. In his spare time he was a talented painter.
His wife, Dorothy S. Malechek, and son, Richard Allen Smith, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Malechek of West Point, Sandra Hoar of Toano; three sons, Edmond F. Malechek of Williamsburg, Bruce W. Malechek of Providence Forge and Stanley H. Malechek of Williamsburg; brother, Arthur Malechek of West Point; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at West Point Christian Church, 290 W. Euclid Blvd. The burial will be in St. Theresa Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Deceased Name: RICHARD A. SMITH
WEST POINT - Richard Allen Smith, 55, of West Point, died peacefully on Monday, April 1, 1996, in his mother's home after a short illness.
He was a member of West Point Christian Church.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Edmond G. Malecheck; two sisters, Sandra Hoar and Susan Malecheck; three brothers, Edmond F., Bruce W. and Stanley Malecheck; three daughters, three sons and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at West Point Christian Church. Burial in Green Meadow Memorial Park, Providence Forge.
Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, is handling arrangements.
