Mary M. Hoar, 87, died February 17, 2010 at her home. She was born in Pelham, New York and had lived in Hobe Sound since 1998. Prior to that, she and her husband lived in Jupiter. In addition to helping build the family distribution business, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Hoar, Jr. of Setauket, NY, Bruce Hoar of Stonybrook, NY, daughters Andrea L. Lamb of Carmel Valley, CA., Pearl Powell of Hobe Sound, 2 grandsons Thomas III and Trevor of Setauket, NY, brother, Dr. Patrick Mulrow of Jupiter and Ohio, and sister, Ann Gallagher of MA. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Hoar, Sr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the National Adrenal Diseases Foundation, 505 Northern Blvd., Great Neck, NY 11021,
Services: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM Feb.24 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Arrangements are by Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Young & Prill Chapel.

Mrs. Toomey, a Palm City resident for 25 years, died Monday. Born in Watervliet, N.Y., she worked for a brokerage firm, a telephone company and the FBI. She was a volunteer for Treasure Coast Hospices and a founding member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard; two sisters, including Mary Hoar of Hobe Sound; and a brother, Patrick Mulrow of Jupiter.
Mass 11:30 a.m. today at Holy Redeemer.

Helen Rita Collins died April 3, 2008, at her home.
She was born in New York City and lived in Hobe Sound for 17 years, coming from Basking Ridge, N.J.
Before retirement, she worked for 15 years as a financial manager for the Girl Scouts of America in Mendham, N.J.
She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound.
She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women, Ladies of the Preserve and Girl Scouts of America in New Jersey.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Collins of Hobe Sound; sons, Marshall Collins of Mount Lakes, N.J., Kenneth Collins of West Chester, Pa., Paul Collins of Golden, Colo.; brother, Dr. Patrick Mulrow of Perrysburg, Ohio; sisters, Delia Toomey of Palm City, Anne Gallagher of Ipswich, Mass., Mary Hoar of Hobe Sound; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. April 6 at Young & Prill Funeral Home in Stuart. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. April 7 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, N.J.
