He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, Pacific Theater during WWII and received the Battle Star for action. He was a member of VFW Post 10093. He retired from CBS Records after 36 years of service. He married Loretta A. Hoar in 1944 Loretta departed in 1983. In 1985 he married Charlotte Higgason. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Charlotte; and 4 sons, Michael, Thomas, James and John Walker; stepson, John Higgason; stepdaughter, Robin Seale and grandchildren, Michael, Alana, Kelsey and Lauren Walker; stepgrandchildren, Ben, Andy and Hamilton Seale, Katherine Lentz and Charlotte Gregarie; and great-grandson, Shane Walker and stepgreat-grandson, Ayden Seale. 1252 | [[ Obituary: St. Petersburg Times (FL) - October 15, 2008 Deceased Name: TWOMBLY, James H. 67, of St. Petersburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008. He was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School, OH, in 1958, and Miami University of Ohio in 1964. He joined the U.S. Navy, where he enjoyed a 23 year career as a pilot with tours in Texas, Maine, Iceland, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. During an assignment in Key West, he met a Navy nurse, Maureen Hoar, who became his wife in 1975. He finished his Navy career as Commanding Officer of the Tampa Reserve Center. He had a second career as a pilot for TWA. He enjoyed sailing, boating, traveling, and caring for animals, especially his Scottish Terriers and the cats at the boatyard. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and St. Raphael's Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth P. and Helen H. Twombly, and is survived by his wife and his brother, John Twombly of Cincinnati, OH, as well as other loving family members. There will be a gathering from 10 am until service time at 11 am, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. M. L. King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg, FL, 727-822-2059. 1262 | [[ Obituary: SULA ? Arthur Lynn Wildey, 81, of Sula, passed away at his home, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010. Art was born May 26, 1928, in Whitewood, S.D., to the late Isaac and Nora Wildey. He was one of 13 children. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948 aboard the USS Chara, a mine sweeper. He married Annette Keely where the couple lived and raised eight children. He worked as a logger for many years in the Sula area. He cut Christmas trees and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and mining with his family. He also enjoyed playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his son Andy Wildey; and numerous brothers and sisters. Surviving include his wife Ann of Hamilton; sons, Dwane and wife Chris of Darby, Randy of Corvallis, Jerry and wife Marilyn of Hamilton, Mike and wife Richie of Lolo, and Edward and wife Laurie of Victor; daughters, Diane and husband Billy Jameson of Darby and Beverly and husband Tony Mariano of Boston; sisters Elnor of Stevensville and Dorothy of Corvallis; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lynch, 84 years old, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was the husband of Joanne B. (Duffy) (Gray) Lynch, and was a longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell before recently moving to Hooksett, New Hampshire. Born in Winthrop, MA, on October 26, 1924, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Mary E. (Hoar) Lynch. Mr. Lynch was educated in the Winthrop schools graduating from Winthrop High School in 1942. He attended Holy Angels College in Buffalo, NY, the Oblate House of Philosophy in Newburgh, NY, and the Oblate College in Washington, DC. Mr. Lynch was employed as a Data Manager for the Raytheon Corporation for several years. He was a member of St. Robert Bellermine Parish in West Andover, where he taught C.C.D. classes for several years, and was a member of the adult choir. In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by a son, William E. Tom entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and was assigned to the Army Air Corp, becoming a radio operator with the 56th Troop Carrier Squadron, 375th Troop Carrier Group, 5th Air Force. During World War II he was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Tom joined the Air Force in 1948, serving in many different countries until his retirement in 1969 after more than 23 years of service. In addition to being an amateur radio operator for more than 45 years, Tom worked with the American Red Cross and the California Department of Forestry ? as a volunteer in fire prevention ? for more than 10 years. He also served as assistant scout master with Troop No. 77 in Orange County, and was a member of the Free & Accepted Masonic Order for 57 years, belonging both to the Inyo Lodge No. 221 in Independence and Lindsay Lodge No. 308 in Porterville. Tom was also a member of High Twelve International, Palm Leaf Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Porterville Amateur Repeater Association, Quarter Century Wireless Association and the Air Force Flyers Club. Tom was a writer of both stories and letters, "He felt strongly on many subjects and wrote letters to public officials and newspapers," loved ones said. "He enjoyed photography, history and reading, and inspired those he loved to join his enthusiasm. Tom brought so much joy and inspiration to his family and friends that his passing will leave a big vacuum in our lives." He was a graduate of North Pocono High School and he owned and operated Hannick Trucking prior to his illness. He was a caring husband, father and brother who enjoyed riding his Harley. He was a fan of NASCAR, and he will be missed by all his family and friends. Johnson, 83, a resident of Virginia Street, died May 24, 2003, at his home after a long illness. He was born on Long Island on Jan. 25, 1920, a son of Lewis Alvin and Eva May (Horr) Johnson. He attended schools on Long Island and in Portland. Mr. Johnson worked for a brief period of time for the Maine Central Railroad before entering the military. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Following the war, he worked on Long Island where he worked for the Department of the Navy and also as a lobsterman. Mr. Johnson was rehired for the Maine Central Railroad at age 50, something he was very proud of. He remained there until his retirement in 1982. However retirement did not slow him down. He then worked in maintenance for Coastal Manor in Yarmouth for a few years. His family remembers him as a great provider, a good husband and a loving father who was proud, independent and loved a good joke. He loved his cat "Jack," fishing, spending time with his lifelong friend Harold Brigham and most of all his family. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 832 of South Portland, the Clark Memorial United Methodist Church in Portland and the American Legion of Westbrook. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Carr) Johnson, in 1990. The family includes four daughters, "Peachie" (Rita) M. Stevens of Pembroke, Linda A. Neptune of Gorham, Maine, Diane L. Butler and Shirley E. Reichert, both of Portland; a brother, Wesley Johnson of Long Island, Maine; four sisters, Doris Perkins, Ruby Bruns, Joan Rhuda and Jean Tibbetts, all of Portland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; son-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
