(Levi) and A. (Alanson) Lincoln and conducted by them until 1859 when the firm was known as L.& A. Lincoln & Co. In 1880 the business passed into the control of Levi A. Lincoln (son of Levi). This factory employs about twelve men and manufactures carriages, landaus, phaetons, open buggies, and democrats, besides all styles of sleigh. Repairing of carriages is also a part of the business and during the year about $2,500 worth is usually done, and from sixty to eighty of the different vehicles are manufactured annually."
